AN UNFORGETTABLE WEEK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WORLD: 36TH ANNUAL CONGRESS AND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF ALAMYS

What an exciting event we had in Quito! The 36th Annual Congress and General Assembly of Alamys (Latin American Association of Metros and Subways) was a total success.

From April 14 to 18, 2024, we became the epicenter of the railway world, with the participation of managers, directors, and engineers from countries such as Spain, Chile, Colombia, Panama, Belgium, Germany, Peru, the United States, Brazil, Mexico, and, of course, Ecuador. We welcomed everyone with warm Ecuadorian hospitality, gifting them the iconic toquilla straw hat and delighting them with typical sweets from our land. It was a joy to see so many experts gathered, exchanging ideas and learning from each other.

We went all out with the organization and logistics of the event, and it was totally worth it! We took care of everything, from the arrival of the attendees at their hotels, to cultural tours in Quito, accreditations, welcome cocktail, opening ceremony, conferences, bilateral meetings, press conference, a technical visit to the Quito Metro and, of course, the closing party.

All of this was possible thanks to teamwork and the collaboration of our best suppliers in catering, decoration, venues, transportation, structures, and entertainment.

Our entire coordination team worked hard to ensure that every event and every detail was ready. While some focused on the conferences and activities of the congress, others ensured that the dinners and night visits were memorable. It was definitely an event to remember!
